Living in a place of mixed people and culture is a fantastic realization of a dream come true. General Santos City,  a typhoon-free city with average temperature of 28 degrees celcius  and maximum of 36 degrees celcius.  the southern most "port city" and  lies in the southern part of Mindanao, Philippines, the home of champions.  It is one of the most populous urban city  in the country. It can be  reach by air, land, sea or even via the most advanced form of technology from virtually any part of the world. It has modern and state-of-the-art communication facilities at par with global standards. It has an International airport which  is the  largest  airport in Mindanao and second largest in the country. Philippine Airlines and Cebu Pacific Air  operates the flights to and from Manila and Cebu servicing  both passenger and cargo

 

 Gensan's  Makar Wharf is the main international port of the city and is one of the finest ports in the country.

      The General Santos City Terminal—popularly known as Bulaong Terminal is  the city's main integrated land transport terminal. The terminal serves as the city's gateway for land travellers. Buses, Vans, Jeepneys  serve as means of transportation going to and from various parts of Mindanao and the country.  Buses and Jeepneys give fast and convenient ride to commuters within  the city and neighboring provinces. Multicabs and three-wheeled motorized cabs known as  tricycles are the city's main mode of public transport .Air-conditioned taxis also offer commuters a choice of a more comfortable mode of transportation.

Agro-industry and  fishing industry are the city's major economic contributor. In fishing sector, Gensan  is home to seven (7) tuna processing plants in the country. and a world class Fishport Complex.

 In Agro- It  produces export quality high valued crops such as  corn ,coconut, banana, asparagus, pineapples and rice.  

Business booms having  5 shopping malls-Gaisano, KCC, Robinson,Fitmart & SM.
And there were 59 banks and 49 lending establishment and 48 pawnshops.

Universities-Mindanao State University and Notre Dame of Dadiangas University. But there are so many colleges too. 

Religion in General  Santos City is  Christianity and Islam.
